Montreal based online therapy - DBT, ACT, MBT, EFT, Attachment

Therapy for Change

I offer therapeutic services based on the philosophy that you don’t need therapy for life.

My goal is to equip you with the tools, insights, and strategies to address your current challenges and build resilience for the future. We will use evidence-based approaches, pulling from DBT, ACT, and CBT, to foster self-awareness, develop practical skills, and empower you to navigate life’s complexities with confidence.

Structured Therapy: Therapy begins with a structured 10-week framework, consisting of weekly 50-minute sessions, designed to provide a solid foundation for lasting growth and change. This framework integrates evidence-based techniques from various therapeutic modalities, tailored to your unique needs. We start by building essential skills in regulating emotions, managing behaviours, and addressing patterns of validation and reassurance-seeking. From there, we work on reducing avoidance, fostering self-esteem, and equipping you with tools to accept and make peace with the past while building tolerance to face the future.

Follow-up Sessions: After completing the initial 10 sessions, follow-up appointments are offered on an as-needed basis or at a frequency that suits your preferences. These sessions provide ongoing support, allowing us to address new challenges, reinforce skills, and continue your personal growth at a pace that works best for you.

Note: Currently, all sessions are conducted via Zoom to provide convenient and flexible access to care.

Montreal Online Therapy - Elliott

Who am I?

My name is Dr. Elliott Morrice, I am a clinical psychologist and a member of the Order of Psychologists of Quebec. I completed my graduate studies in Clinical Psychology at Concordia University and have specialized training in anxiety disorders, OCD, bariatric care, complex care, and personality disorders, particularly borderline personality disorder. I currently teach at Concordia University and practice here at ELM.

My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining evidence-based techniques from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Mentalization-Based Therapy. We will work together from the perspective that your emotions are not disordered – they are a natural part of being human. Through our work together, you will gain the tools to better understand and regulate your emotions, make peace with your past, and move forward with confidence.
